Eight of the nation's top rising comedy stars perform at the Boston Comedy Festival for the Semi-Final round of the Stand-Up Comedy Competition. With $10,000 prize money on the line, these performers will be bringing their A-game to the stage. Special guest Esther Ku (Last Comic Standing) will make an appearance.

The comedians were average at best. The food was OK.
It was just what it was supposed to be - young comics competing for a cash prize and most of them were very funny. I think this was the first time for this event so it was just slightly disorganized (like the long wait -we weren't admitted into the room for the 9:00 show until 9:30), but all in all a good time if you like un-PC comedy - which we do...
Fantastic event at a great price! Semi-finals were so good, I wish I could make it to the finals.
This event was awesome!! We met some new people that sat at the table with us and the comedians were hilarious!! I would definitely go again and would highly recommend this event to others.

The Boston International Comedy & Movie Festival began back in 2000 as a way to showcase New England stand-up comedy talent to bigger audiences and the entertainment industry. Given the long line of successful comedians who got their start in Boston, it seemed to be a natural fit for such a festival. The audience agreed, and the event has grown every year. In addition to the traditional stand-up comedy routines, the festival also includes improv, sketch comedy, and one-person theatre shows, as well as the newly expanded movie portion of this festival.
